Insecurity: Edeoga suspends campaign in Isi-Uzo, advises residents to flee.
The embattled Labour Party guber candidate in Enugu State, Edeoga Chijioke has called on residents of Eha-Amufu in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area to run for their lives.
The controversial candidate made this known yesterday evening after a meeting held with his campaign officials.
Addressing his supporters after the meeting, He advised all the residents of Eha-Amufu to, as a matter of urgency flee the community and look for a safe haven, stating that the party has suspended all the planned campaign in the local government area to avoid attack on the top party officials.
“The area is no more safe for us to continue our campaigns because heartless people may decide to unleash an attack on our officials. I therefore advise our brothers and sisters out there to please run to their relatives and friends outside the community and remain prayerful that things will return to normal. As for us, we wouldn’t want to lose any of our warlords in Eha-Amufu. We must live to make a change in the society. 2023 is certain and we know we shall do exploits,” Edeoga said.
Recall that Fulani herdsmen had killed residents of Eha-Amufu community on Monday, forcing many residents to leave their houses in search of a safe haven.
