2023: Show us your manifesto and desist from campaign of calumny – Kinsmen lampoon Edeoga

…accuses him of peddling misinformation and fake news

By Samson Emenike

The Eha-Amufu youths, under the aegis of Youths Progressives Assembly, have called out the controversial gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party in Enugu State, Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga for heating state’s polity with his campaign of calumny.

The youths who issued the advice argued that no election in Enugu State has ever been marked with such vicious media war, fake news and all manner of excoriating and image-tarnishing articles which Edeoga is presently fomenting.

While addressing the youths in a meeting which was held at Amede, Eha-Amufu in Isi-Uzo local government council, the President of the youth group, Comrade Thaddeus Ngwuka advised the youths not to allow themselves to be used by over-ambitious and desperate politicians come 2023 general elections, insisting that Edeoga is an agent of destabilization.

Comrade Ngwuka queried why Chijioke Edeoga and his co-travellers have not brought out their manifesto but have vowed to resort in fabricating fake news just to deceive the public.

“Chijioke Edeoga should concentrate on issue-based campaigns and tell Ndi Enugu what he has to offer, come 2023. We have never had it so bad of a season marked with bitterness, hatred and fake news. We should remind our brother, a man who has wasted his years in politics without a single achievement for his people that this game is not won by peddling lies on social media. He should present his manifesto to us if he has anything meaningful to offer.

“We should be too quick to remind him that the same process he engaged that led to his failure during the build up to the PDP primaries is the process he is repeating today. It is a vain mission to embark on, let Chijioke change from that style of politicking because it is capable of tearing us apart. We need a better society and that is why we as progressives want to ensure that Enugu gets it right come 2023,” Ngwuka added.
