LAPO MfB launches savings package for  sustainable wealth, financial inclusion

The LAPO Microfinance Bank has introduced a new savings package tagged: “My Pikin and I (MPI)”  to encourage financial inclusion for low income families.

Head, Communications, of the bank, Oluremi Akande, who spoke at the raffle event, held in Lagos recently, noted that 

the MPI account is a carefully researched product designed to provide a simple savings platform with low entry requirements.

“My Pikin & I savings (MPI) account is a carefully researched product designed to provide a simple savings platform with very low entry requirements to help inculcate savings culture and greater financial inclusion for members of low-income households, small business owners, parents and guardians. Savers can open the account with as low as N200 and stand the chance of enjoying huge benefits such as: one-year free insurance cover, scholarship and interest earnings on savings.

“The objective of the promo was to encourage better savings culture/discipline among low-income earners, build sustainable wealth and to increase financial inclusion.

“Over 11,000 new accounts were opened during the  three months promo; an indication that LAPO MfB is a trusted and preferred destination for savings.

“The star prize of a Tricycle was won by our client in the North-East zone, while the runner-up and other consolation prizes such as deep freezers, 5KVA generators and blenders are won by participants from various parts of the country.”
